For others, especially people who live in areas with unreliable power, camp regularly, travel, or use therapy after a hospital stay, it is a practical part of staying consistent with treatment. For most standard CPAP and APAP users, the best choice is a dedicated lithium-ion CPAP battery with a compatible DC cable or converter for their machine. Dedicated CPAP batteries are compact, quiet, portable, and generally more efficient than plugging a CPAP power brick into a large portable power station.
